Roverway Day 2

Image
On our first official day in Tynset we made breakfast on an open fire before went on a hike around the campsite and learned a bit about the area and its history  We hiked for about an hour and found an amazing view of the river before crossing a slack line to go back to the campsite  After the hike we went for a swim in the river before lighting the campfire to cook dinner

On the 22nd of July I flew from Ireland with 100 other young Irish people to participate in a international scouting event called Roverway.       Roverway is hosted every 4 years for ventures and Rovers between 16 - 25 years old. This year it was hosted in Norway    It took over 23 hours of travel by bus, plans and trains from Limerick, to Dublin, to Amsterdam, to Oslo Norway, where we travelled to our final destination in Tynset Norway in the early morning of the 24th  For this you are split into patrols ( groups ) of 6-8 people from your country. My patrol was called Brigid and there were 7 members  Everyone had their own role to make sure we all had a great time while there, Cathal was our patrol leader  Abbie was in charge of our social media and our communication to other groups I was the treasurer I was in charge of making sure our budget lasted the whole 2 weeks
